<vendordescription>

DirectAccess supports and encapsulates most or all DAO
      functionality, including replication, schema modification, etc.
      "Fast DAO Wrapper" is much faster than using OLE Automation
      directly to control DAO. In addition to Accesss MDB files and
      ODBC, DAO/Jet can provide access to some unusual "database"
      formats, like Excel spreadsheets, text files, and email stored
      in an Exchange server.

Opus DirectAccess has excellent, full documentation. It
      includes both an online printable versions. Their web site
      offers a long list of FAQs with useful answers.

It offers Access OLE data compatibility.
